Professor Dawn Brooker

Prof Dawn Brooker is Director, Association for Dementia Studies, University of Worcester. Her research focus is dedicated to developing evidence-based practical ways to enable those living with dementia to have the best possible quality of life. A clinical psychologist, Dawn is committed to real knowledge transfer and translation between researchers, carers and people living with dementia. Dawn is the UK lead on a European Union Joint Programme - Neurodegenerative Disease Research (JPND) funded Meeting Centres Support Programme, and the lead for the Alzheimer’s Society UK Doctoral Training Centre on the Arts and Dementia Programme (TAnDem). Her most recent research involves improving care and support for people in advanced stages of dementia.
